to have for during the week. Cutbacks with the credit crunch and all that.
I was looking at a friends Fiat 500, nice little car 55mpg.
Spotted this one on car zone, they are cheaper than i expected.

I've been driving my Dad's hyundai getz for a few days now, ( 1 litre) I think the needle on the fuel gauge isn't working I can't seem to get it to go towards empty It's a well kitted car too with airbags, great pioneer radio, 4 doors etc. Ideal as a cheap run around and can easily hold 120kmh with 4 adults on board.

Ivan - despite the recession, one has to keep up appearances......this might look better in your garage:
With spacious interior. Steel chassis. 2 wing mirrors. Characteristic lights and alloy wheels. Anti roll bar.
Think of the savings to be had on VRT, road tax etc.

fiat must have heard me, got this email today..
 Dear All,

Are you driving an 04-05 car ? Want to swap it for an 06-07, cleaner, safer and greener car ? Or know someone who does ?

This weekend, Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7, Fiat, the European car manufacturer with the lowest average CO2 emissions, is holding the EcoUpgrade event at Citywest hotel. Bring your 04-05 Toyota, Renault, Ford, VW, Skoda, Peugeot, Nissan, Mazda, Citroen, Opel, Seat or Hyundai with its documentation and drive away in a newer, cleaner and safer Fiat at no cost . And if your car is older than 04 come down anyway as we will give you an unbeatable trade-in value.

As you would expect, some terms and conditions do apply, including that you can't turn up in a stolen car, plus a few other listed below, but otherwise we will value your car and give you the choice of a selection of fully AA-checked and prepared Fiats.

Pass this message onto anyone you know with a 04-05 car, and get yourself down to Citywest Hotel this weekend, you will leave feeling much younger.

 The Fiat Eco Upgrade Team

T&Cs : You must have been the registered owner for a minimum of 6 months. During the process all relevant documentation must accompany the car along with spare keys. Any additional costs re finance, insurance and any other charges incurred on behalf of the customer are solely the responsibility of the customer. All exchanges are subject to Fiat Group Automobiles acceptance. Not open to the Motor Trade
