 Hey Ollie,
Did you get the windblocker yet? thinking of the same myself but the MX5 parts ones are really pricey so would be interested in this option. Easy to fit etc etc?

Fairy nuff, Looks a good deal. I guess from your posts that you have the non-perspex one which from the mx5parts site just fits onto the existing factory standard "windblocker". Correct? yeh/no? Hows the visibility with this or is there no worries. I think i would prefer perspex one but i would need the style bars for that (I think?) and i dont wanna do that. ANyway, any feedback would be appreciated. Laters Olly

Hi folks,I made one from polycarbonate sheeting I got from a plastic company in Ashbourne for 20 euro. It works fine but the sun reflects off it into the rear view mirror and also dazzles oncoming traffic ! There seem to be 2 types. The 'original' part with a hinged top which looks too low to do any good and might block the rear view. The other type is the Mazda mesh type and the Belgian version. Does anyone know which works best. ?

Olly, i got this one from tuning evolution. Works well and I can see traffic behind me -no worries. It fits like a glove too - simply bolts into place. Good value too. Topless, they all work afaik, its just up to what style you want i guess.

I just bought one of the Belgian ones and couldn't quite figure out how to mount it. There were no instructions, and the bracket only has one mounting hole, so it's bound to rotate. The only possibility was to unscrew the cover stud and mount the bracket behind it, but it can't be tightened enough to stop it turning. There is another small hole in the car with a plastic rivet to attach the plastic part to the frame. I made new brackets (see photos) using the stud screw for mounting and a pin which locates in the rivet hole to stop rotation. The blocker is mounted to the bracket via a rubber friction washer. I hope this is enough to stop it falling flat in the breeze - will advise. DSCF2827_1024x768.JPGYou do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

 Topless,

I did'nt have that issue @ all with mine from tuning evo.
What style one did you get?
Make sure its tight upright and it'll be grand in the wind.

The new brackets work fine and it stays upright. Visibility is a reduced a bit though.
