Hello everyone! My name is Jason and I drive an 01 mx-5. I live in las vegas nevada and have been enjoying your group by looking at the pictures you have and the events. You all have a great thing going with lots of participation. I only wish I had a group like this here in vegas. I look forward to contributing to the forums where I can and seeing what you all do next! :)

Hi Jason,
Sweet looking car & as previously posted at least you got the weather for it, although the last few days we haven't done so badly ourselves.

Thank you all for the kind words on the car. I am personally stunned with the quality that you show in your cars. I have seen very few good looking mx-5's here in vegas. All of yours look amazing :!: Most of the people here have track cars, or just beat them until they look bad. :( I take pride in washing my car weekly and keeping it clean. As for the weather they say we get a little over 300 sunny days a year. I don't like having the top up and usually you will never find me with it up except in winter when its really windy. Thanks why the car has heat!! :P HAHA I really do like living here and am really into cars. I was hooked on mx-5's when i test drove one working at dealer, and knew I had to get one. When I moved here i decided it was the car to buy. Happy ever since, and yes ill take you for a spin! :D That's what its for 8) My friend and I are talking about possibly taking a trip to Ireland sometime next year. Hopefully the economy will be a little better. OH and im 8 hours behind you all. lol just fyi and its really cool to see pictures of Right hand drive mx-5's to me.

I am hoping to be putting out 160-170. Never had it checked yet. According to the Companys I should have about 22 extra at the wheels when all added up. So thats my guess. Any body here have a turbo car? I am hoping to make that my next mod if possible. I have a guy i work with that is really big into turbo and putting turbo's on cars. What kind of racing do you participate in?

No real racing for me I'm sorry to say.Do a bit of online gtr2,gtr evolution and gt legends.Did you ever try them?
Thats nice hp from your 5.My other car is a VW Golf GTI.I have a revo map on that with Tein coilovers adjustable dampers.Last dyno it had 191bhp.I'm gonna change the exhaust soon for a Milltek and hoping to get another 5/6 hp.I have a switch that plugs into the OBD port and I can enable or disable the revo map or modify it for boost/timing/air-fuel ratio.Very handy when outside conditions change (air temp). You can also enable an anti theft mode on the ECU so even if the thief has your keys the engine wont move off tickover.Pity I dont have that engine in the MX5! :!: :!:

No i have never tried any of those games. I currently play Gran Turismo and Grid. What year gti? always liked the way they looked. They also perform quite well. Just a bit more costly to own than my 5. Atleast here in the states it cost more. Not sure about your prices there.

Its a 2003 model.1.8 turbo 24valve.Ok car that I use for work (sales rep sadly) but I prefer to drive the MX5 whenever I get the chance.Grid is fun too.

Hi Jason

Is it this system ? http://www.jetchip.com/
If so, looks pretty sweet. The LCD display looks the biz.

Yeah, there's a few of us on the list with turbos (I have an FMII SBB putting out 242hp at the crank). In fact, we have a tech-day on Saturday where one of the lads is getting a Greddy installed. He should be on 160/170hp at the crank too !

All the best
Frank
