Having failed to kill the wife in the car.........

Postby leamyj » Sat, 07 Aug 2010 8:47 +0000

Some of you may be aware of this, would love to see you there but understand it's not always possible , anyone fancy a spin the next day to clear the cobwebs, say Newbridge/Naas @ Midday for a run?

PARACHUTE JUMP

(IN AID OF MARIE KEATING FOUNDATION)

JOHN AND MAIREAD LEAMY ARE 25 YEARS MARRIED THIS YEAR.

TO CELEBRATE THIS, THEY HAVE DECIDED TO DO WHAT ANY NORMAL COUPLE WOULD DO TO CELEBRATE THE OCCASION........

THEY'RE GONNA THROW THEMSELVES OUT OF A PLANE AT 2 MILES HIGH, FREE-FALL AT 120 MPH

AND PARACHUTE TO A SAFE ( HOPEFULLY ) LANDING.

NEITHER OF THEM HAVE EVER DONE THIS BEFORE.

A VIDEO OF THEIR EFFORTS WILL BE SHOWN AT A CELEBRATION PARTY IN LUMVILLE HOUSE ON AUGUST 28TH, FROM 8PM

EVERYONE INVITED

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

(100% OF MONIES RAISED WILL GO TO THE MARIE KEATING FOUNDATION AS THE COST OF THE JUMP HAS BEEN SPONSORED INDEPENDENTLY)

Best of luck with this John :thumright: . Bit of advice, don't have too big a breakfast beforehand :pukel: :puker: :pukel:
If I can make it I'll be there on the 15th. to witness your jump as I can't make it on the 28th. Our son's wedding on that day.

Isn't the 28th. also the day Teena is having her fundraising picnic run to Slane castle?

Made it!!! Free fall and parachute ( tandem) from 13,000 feet ..DEADLY BUZZ. Normally done from 10,000 feet but half our plane load had paid to be dropped from 13,000 so our instructors took advantage of the extra bonus!!! Pics/vid to follow

Fair play to you both, looks like a great experience.
I think I'll have to stick it on my list of things to do!!!
