Garage and lift available to members

Postby eyore » Sun, 11 Dec 2011 11:54 +0000

Don't imagine this is much use to anyone outside of Clare,Limerick,Galway but for anyone in this area we have a workshop and lift here which is available for any members wishing to do any of those tricky to get at jobs under the MX. By arrangement needless to say.................just drop me a PM.

Garage and lift available to members

That's very good of ya, is it your own garage? Just wondering what kind of lift you have as considering getting one for my place eventually. Think f a mid lift to allow for brake/suspension to be carried out.

Yes its our own workshop at home. The lift is a two post 4ton lift,we chose 2 post for a few reasons. Cheaper, takes up less space than 4 poster and lifts under the sills/body so easy to work on wheels/brakes etc.

Having gotten to an age where knees creak getting up and down and where lying on my back on a cold floor gets to me and where improvising different jacking strategies and axle-stand configurations can take more time than the actual job - I am just simply very jealous of anyone with a lift....

Can I line up a few jobs and come sleep in your workshop sometime? LOL

Kind of you to offer - being Dublin based probably means you are fairly safe from me! But you never know....

Enjoy
