Advice re Alloys

Have been talking about getting my alloys refurbished for some time. Brought them to a specialist in Dublin on Sat and in my niavety, I assumed that this would cost about 50 euro each or E200 for the four. How wrong I was, the guy wanted E440 to refurbish them. Attached are pictures of the 4 wheels

As far as I was concerned, I thought they were in reasonable nick. Does anyone know anyone who could refurbish them at a lower price, I did not intend to spend too much on the refurbishment

That's a rip-off Paschal !! EUR440 LOL

You could do them yourself for about 50 quid total - wet & dry sandpaper, some filler, some silver paint and some lacquer. So long as you have a shed or somewhere out of the wind to dry them, you'll find it an easy job !

Leo Whelan in Cork (086 4086923) has done a few sets of wheels for me including my MX5 wheels and charged me €50 a corner. First class job. He is located just outside Douglas on the outskirts of the city. Sound guy. His dad does leather and fabric repairs so there is a family of them. paulc

Carlow coatings will do alloys for €50 an alloy. That's sand blasting, priming and powder coating.

That's a good price. It's €350 to get a set of 4 wheels blasted & powder coated here in Cork.
