Clutch Judder

I have always had a bit of a judder in 1st gear. You have to have the coordination of a brain surgeon to avoid judder, having to get left and right foot just bang on. It appears to be getting worse recently. Not as noticeable in reverse. No other issues with the transmission, no issues engaging gears and no issues through the gears. Bite point ok etc

Would it be the fluid, had a look this morning and it is BLACK! I think I should change the fluid and see what happens

Any ideas?

Its a 2001 MK 2.5 1.6

Thanks

Paschal

It will do no harm to change it.

is that why you were concentrating soo hard when i flew past you yesterday coming back from lisburn ?

the clutch judder issue is down to a defective clutch disc and pressure plate from the factory- most mk2.5's suffered from it
