Hi everyone, so after many yes and no's in my head decided to go de-cat.
The problem is I have no clue what's what and where to start, 1st things first have aftermarket back box (dual) and cone filter, it already makes a nice rumble-y sound ;)

Feel free to lay your thoughts and opinions ;)

And if anyone wants to help me do it, I would be more than grateful because I have no knowledge, tools or place/space to do it

Cheers ;)

There are two types of exhaust that can be fitted on your car . One Is cat which bolts off both ends and the other has the cat welded on one end.We have cats that can be decatted by removing the inside and this leaves it that you can refit your own cat for NCT etc. 086 8226506

Everywhere I have read about de-cating an mx5 says it sounds crap with gutting the cat or a straight pipe. Try a silenced decat from mx5 parts. I picked one up off Brian and have yet to fit it. I'll post my opinion on it when I eventually get to fit it.

Mx5parts don't do de-cats for mk2, looks like no one does....

Needs to be made by someone I'd say....

On a mk2 the cat is part of the mid pipe. Mine was fucked so just broke it out of it and got a new mid section off robert. Made a noticable difference seems to rev alot free'er.
