Import a 5 from Japan

Was looking at some Japanese dealers web sites recently and I just cant believe the prices of the cars there.
It seems a reasonably easy process to buy one from there and get it shippped to Ireland.
Only real downside is all dealers or traders there requite payment in full in advance.
Anyone know any body that has ever done it themselves or is it a risky thing to do :?:

I would suspect that you have answered the question yourself. I believe unless you have access to a good mechanic... buyer beware.
