seems to be a common problem mentioned on another thread, so any devious activites used by the gardaĆ to trap ye, or simply where did ye see them up to their auld tricks........

Most mornings I see them on the Carrick on Suir to Waterford Road,
Just past the humpback bridge outside portlaw.......

I realise this is probably useless information to almost everyone else in this club

Not necessarily mate, could be quite useful. I often see them at the top of the pike bend heading out of dungarvan to cork. Just inside the 60km zone after the bend and on the straight. Pointless place to be in my opinion.
Also further out the same road by the Marine bar.

For anyone visiting Dublin or living in it, as you cross the bridge from Heuston Train station heading towards city centre along the Quays they are very often there on Saturdays and Sundays. You will not see them until its too late as there is a dip on the road along the Quays. The speed limit is very low in this area.

BEWARE ON SUNDAY

THERE IS A DUAL CARRIAGEWAY BETWEEN NAAS AND NEWBRIDGE

THE SPEED LIMIT IS 80KPH.. BLOODY RIDICULOUS

THE BOYS IN BLUE COLLECT HALF THEIR BONUS ALONG HERE

CAN'T BLAME THEM, THEY'RE DOING THEIR JOB.

BUT WHOEVER DEEMED 80KPH APPROPRIATE ON A DUAL CARRIAGEWAY NEEDS THEIR AR** KICKED.

SIDE ROADS NOT TWO MILES FROM THERE ARE DEEMED OK FOR 80KPH

(FEEL BETTER NOW, GOT THAT OFF MY CHEST)

Anywhere from Watergrasshill to Cork every day you will see them either under the bridges or "gunning" people from behind on the slip road that brings you onto the motorway. Then, after catching a motorist, they simply gun the cars coming from Cork to watergrasshill direction.......they should be out on the country roads where all the crashes are and not on the safe wide open motorways :(

In fairness not sure the comment was 100% suitable so probably why it was deleted. I would agree that the Garda can sometimes be sneaky in what they do and there are more suitable & effective places that they could do there job but at the end of the day that is all they are doing, their job.

as far as I remember Fergus had a post reffering to the cops lying in the grass as "snakes in the grass or pigs in ****"...... I might be wrong.
But it's gone now!
