Stripey got Struts (PT1)

Because of this....
There's no bonnet strut, so each time I'm rooting about under the bonnet I have to prop it open with a brush!
Just a little aside - when first looking under the bonnet, it looked like this:
But a bit of degreaser and polish left it like this:
Anyway, decided to rectify this, so ordered some struts (which came yesterday). First thing I did was make sure the bolts would come out of the wings (one of them didn't, and just rounded..... it was a BUGGER to remove....).
Then marked up the hinges and drilled.....
Next step is to tap the 5mm hole BUT I don't have a tap...... so dropped the hinge, and bolted on the swivel joint then re-bolted the hinge.
