Chinese coilovers

Postby Pops » Mon, 22 Aug 2016 6:49 +0000

Looking at these on eBay
https://www.ebay.ie/itm/152017379192
I can get them down on price a bit but I'm wondering about the quality. Mine has the billstiens fitted but both rear springs have been replaced at different times ( so 2 most likely non matching springs). The car hops & skips on bumps but I think this may be because it's on original bushes so I don't know if I should replace bushes first. Item ending soon so I offered €400 for the coilovers ,delivered & they accepted , seems a good price but could be a total waste of money.
Any opinion anyone, thanks

If your going to spend that much on coilovers id save a little more and get bc's,hsd or miesterR. I know its a lot of money but when your going to be spending that much. I have cheap ta-tachnics in both of my cars but i will be looking soon at 1 of the above to buy.

Thanks for that, think I'll give them a miss for now. Might be best to do the bushings first and see how that helps.
What about these https://www.ebay.ie/itm/251598428522
Super pro are supposed to be best but far too expensive

I found a few reviews of the shocks, those that haven't got them don't rate them at all but some that do have them reckon they are good enough, went on eBay uk and offered £300 (€360) which was accepted. £26 delivery to Ireland but I used parcel motel and got free delivery , just have to pay approx €3.50 to parcel motel.
Won't be fitting them for a while tho, bushes & shocks at the same time over the winter hopefully
