Thanks for posting that....very interesting. In fact I've never driven a Mk2. I'd love to try one sometime as a comparison to my NA.

It's a comparison I'd like to make as well.... have driven a MK1 (obviously), and previously had a MK3 - but never been in a MK2 (and LOVE the shape of the MK4 - definitely wouldn't mind a spin in one of those too!!).

I've had three Mk1's...maybe I should have tried a Mk2 or 3 along the way ! Mk4 ? Yeah, i'd fancy one of those !

Had a mk2 for short while , definitely a car more suited to the longer journey, but I reverted to the mk 1... I feel more connected to the mk1

That's what I remember reading before - the Mk2 was more refined but the Mk1 felt more raw.

mk2/2.5 definitely more comfortable than mk1 but what the heck.Mk1 all the way and no rusty front chassis legs !!

That's one ood the main appeals of the mk1 for me.... pop ups rule!!!
