Hi Folks,

New member from Cork, big car and bike nut... Big into Japs and German cars, and have a 2stroke husky enduro.

This is not a sales pitch so I hope admin don't mind but I need some advice and judging by threads this is the best place to ask. The buddy is looking to buy an rx7 in from Japan but before he does he needs to sell his a car in his garage to free up space so the mx5 has to go, he works away at sea so this is something I have agreed to help with but I am unsure as to even start with a value on the car.

Its a 1994 Mazada Eunos Roadster 1.8, its been parked up 3 years now but starts on the button, it was imported in 2006, blue in colour and current owner is no.3 in Ireland. Currently it has 210000kms on it, the bad parts are its been parked up 3 years, the body is not mint, some cosmetic rust close to rear wheels on the sill, it has no service history but everything works, electrics, lights etc and for its age would be a easy tidy up or fun track car.

What sort of money would it be worth? Thanks in advance, and if Admin are not happy please delete the thread.

Thanks,
James

Hmm, would depend on who's buying. As is, no Nct , maybe a grand...or less...Others may disagree, but without seeing it close up it's hard to really give an answer...

That's my thoughts on it

yeah, it would at least give you an idea of what might be needed. If its running and driving + brakes are ok, it might only need those rusty sills replaced.

Its probably even still a grand at that tested. There are pleanty of them for sale at crazy money for ages. non movers. The ones priced properly will sell and not sit on DD or carzone etc for ever.
I think someone buying that is buying something a bit better than a car for the summer. Its a project for some one. Looks a nice car. Thats a great colour.

Condition is everything with these cars. Lagune Blue is one of the more uncommon colours and is nice. How bad is the rust ? Condition of the roof ? Is the engine quiet ?

The rust is cosmetic its bubbling and wouldn't be a big issue for a panel beater, roof is average condition. The car starts and seems to run very smooth.
