Brilliant job for your roof

Hi All,

I've just fitted a new roof to the car (2nd hand but new to me) it's in great condition but was very dirty, after a good cleaning I was still not very black. I know there are plenty of products out there to clean the roof but I have found a new & very good product to darken the roof.

Here are the results:

And the wonder product (about £2)

PS did you see the louth mini-meet? do you want me to give you a shout next time we go for a run and it'd be great if you could come along.
Even better... maybe you can organise mini-run so we get to see something of your area, as you're only up the road from us.

Hi Cloggy,

I'm living up in Belfast now, but next time you are doing a mini-meet certainly give me a shout I'd be well on for a meet. My girlfriend is from Carlingford so I could easily meet up in Louth & stay at her folks house that weekend.

I could organise a meet, but to be honest I don't know any decent roads around here yet.

i changed my roof a few weeks ago too for a good cond second hand one but it was a little dirty and faded,i tried cleaning it with a few things but nothing really worked that well until i used turtle wax extreme 'cockpit,bumper & tyre shine',did a brilliant job,brought it up like new

PS Hilly is looking to replace her roof and lives in Ennis. Ennis is 300km away from me. I know you're not that near either, but closer than I. I've also used Autoglm Vinyl Care, came up lovely. not as cheap though

Forgot to say that as a result I now have a complete MK2 roof (the fabric has shrunk so not great) but it is on the frame, so if any of you need parts just let me know, I also have 3 roof latches & a glove box & a tonneau cover.

Let me know if anybody needs any parts, Fergus knows I'm good for it as his shiny new door handles will attest

(if he ever finishes the big project) which is looking good at the mo. I just derad to think what his living room will look like by the time he's finished. :mrgreen:
