Right now I'm just hoping I get the downpipe and coolant re-route kit from Bell Engineering in the next week or two so I can fit it....along with the bov, knock sensor, link ECU, injectors, digital boost gauge, AEM wide band...ah hell - look it's all stacked in the corner of my bedroom so I can't list it all

Ah! Riverstick - that takes me back a few years. On holidays with the wife and 2 kids , they're adults now with kid's of their own, we had stayed in a hotel in Caherdaniel and the following day we spent driving around the Beara peninsula before heading on to Skibereen that evening only to find a festival in the town and not a B&B or hotel to be found. No alternative but to sleep in the car - middle of the night woke up frozen, but kids were unconsious, so decided turn on the heater and to head for Kinsale. At around the signpost for Beal na Blath the 6a.m. RTE news came with the headline - "members of the Miami showband had been killed in an explosion on their way from a gig in Belfast". What a shocker - drove on in a daze until we rounded a corner and there before us in the morning sunlight was Kinsale. It was my first time to see Kinsale and what a sight it was but the earlier news had realy made me realise how lucky we were to be so far away from the conflict that was the north at the time. It was about 7a.m. and no place open to get breakfast - this was long before the garage forecourt breakfast roll - so I decided to move a little further on towards Cork city. We came to the village of Riverstick and I spotted the owner opening her little shop. In I go and bought some sausages and rashers then drove just outside the village and pulled out the primus and pan and on with the lot. The kids weren't long waking up and we all got stuck into breakfast. Since then, everytime we go to Kinsale and reach Riverstick I think of that awful, yet beautiful morning. As I did today on a top down trip to Kinsale in the sun.
For anyone coming south on the M8 for the unvailing of Fergus's car let me know and we can link up for a convoy to Riverstick. Let's hope for some of the sunshine that Kinsale was bathed in today.

Geez John, It's not the moon yer goin to. With the excepton a few miles between Portlaoise and Collohill, it's Motorway all the way from bling town (Newbridge) to Cork. It's about ad hour and fifteen to Cashel then an hour or so from Cashel to Kinsale. And yer even allowed to get up to 120kph on the motorway.

Know what Tom, you're right. To my shame it's been a long, long time since I drove to Cork. Just thinking this morning, it was 1984...can you believe that??? I was working in Quinnsworth Douglas and used to allow 31/2 to 4 hours travel time...mind you it was a renault 5. So Tom, what time will you have the breakfast ready at??? John

John et all,
Kettle will be on so it depends on the meet-up time in Cork. Link up with Ollie and whoever else is coming south and we can arrange a time to meet in Cashel of the Kings. We will need to allow about 1.25 hr for trip down. CAUTION - the boy's and girl's in blue have been VERY busy with their hairdryers of late - stick to the 120kmph. on motorway.

Ok, let's get the Leinster branch organised for this one. Tom, you still on for us to grab a cuppa at your place? If so, what time do we need to be hitting Cashel at and how long, say, will it take to get from Portlaoise to Cashel??Can the Munster branch confirm the gathering time in Riverstick, bearing in mind the journey we have to do first?? AFAIK there's myself, Shena and Ollie (I think) with 2 possible others (johnv and peelopepitstop)...can you guys confirm?? Anyone else interested...let yourselves be known please. Let's keep the fingers crossed for a bit of topdown weather John
