thats what i said lol......he has my head wrecked over it.
Basically it involves putting the civic i.6 v-tec single cam head on the 1.5 engine. Compression ratio is a lot higher and if done properly it gives 135bhp as opposed to 123 for feck all money.He got the whole lot, head dizzy, manifolds, loom , ecu for 100 euro. Only thing to buy is a head gasket set and a cam pully 4deg retarded.

well ill oversee it for him, he did a lot of research into it so a wee bit of guidance here and there and it should be fine. He managed to get a gearbox today with the correct final drive so it should be a real screamer . They were available in japan for a short while and are rare but because of higher comp they have more usable power than the twin cam v-tecs. We will see......if my patience holds!!!

Well out came the engine last night.
The coolant looked in good nick

Fair bit of oil on the engine after the leak.

Got another go at it this afternoon, engine all striped off now needs a good clean.

had to make my own table to put it on :-)

so much for german engineering!
