Alignment/GeometryCan anyone suggest a good place to get the geometry done and anyone got any knowledge of settings that work in Ireland for the mk 2.5.Looking for good turn in with back end stability and expecting higher tyre wear. Thanks
Re: Alignment/GeometrySteve will be along to tell you about the lanny settings.
Blakes cross for alignment
Re: Alignment/Geometryheh, Lanny's have a fair bit of toe in (and are soooo 1999 )
The IceHawk specs have more toe out for quicker turn in (but your straight line will be a bit twitchy). Front Caster: Maximum Camber: -1.5° Toe out 1/16" per side Rear Camber: -2° Toe in 1/16" per side --------------------------------------- I went with oem settings after doing polys, alignment bolts, inner + outer tie rods. That kept it chuckable. Lanny's just weren't for a daily driver (well.. not for my daily driver). I've read good things about the FM settings too tho' : Front Caster: 5.0 degrees Camber: 1.0 degrees negative Toe: 1/16" total (1/32" per side) Rear Camber: 1.5 degrees negative Toe IN: 1/16" total (1/32" per side) Were you up there lately? I used to rate Blake's cross but yer man didn't want to know about anything other than "wutz eenn dee mahceen" last time I was there. No sign of the good old school guy (Barney/Billy?) that used to be there Granted, that was about 4 years ago. Steve
Re: Alignment/GeometryI was up there twice last year. Did it grand. In 2008 they did the Porsche and it came out worse than it went in. Got it sorted though.
Re: Alignment/Geometryare you sure you dont mean toe in on the front leaves it twitchey?????

Re: Alignment/Geometrytoe in, better higher speed stability
toe out, better lower speed cornering
Re: Alignment/Geometry
More info please Ivan...how did they sort it, did they just fine tune their alignments settings a bit more. Got the alfa done recently again handling not as sharp as it was before..just wondering if I bring it back again are they gonna say 'thats what the machine recommends'............ 1991 BRG V spec
One fella said to another.. 'I don't drink anymore'..........other fella said... 'ya but you don't drink any less either'.....
Re: Alignment/GeometryIt drives me mental Ive never once been totally happy with an alingment, there generally just not arsed, it takes the guts of an hour to get the settings right you adjust one the other goes off etc, id love to have my own gear.
Re: Alignment/Geometrypiece of string can be usefull. Try doing it with coilovers............aaaaaargh!!!!
