Tyres?

Postby CashelMX5 » Fri, 19 Feb 2010 1:19 +0000

I know the subject of tyres has been mentioned before but I can't find the thread. Where can I find the best value on-line - price and delivery?

Hi Johnny boy.We have 8 Merc Vito's and the ones that came with Continentals fitted lasted the longest. When time came for replacing them, some got Bridgestones and they complained that they were shite in the wet as they are too hard so i went for the Firestone vanhawk which the lad said were softer and wouldnt give the same mileage. I find them grand in the wet and funnily , very quiet.......shhhhhhhhh!!!

The originals were michelin, and I got 55k out of them. The 2nd set were some tyre called maxilla??..anyway, only got 35k. (I know, I went for the cheap option). This time I'm not just gonna go with what the guy in the tyre place tries to sell me, I'm gonna do a bit of research and then see what he'll charge to fit and balance, versus supply and fit/balance.
