Window Cables

So, I got replacement cables from Mx5Parts along with a new drum.
What I need to know is do you install them onto the winder with the window in the down or up position ?

(PS) bloody dirty job...

Fergus......you say you also got a new drum,is it a snare/tom tom or bass drum?
