(love the Wicklow runs - we should take the coast road past Bray, down to Wicklow, and over to Glendalough from there. It might suit some of the Southern Southerners too that way)
It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world

I will have a drive around over the next week or two and see what the roads are like. Being a bank holiday weekend it may be better to steer clear of the N11 to glendalough route, last sunday laragh was like a car park.
Instead of going over the gap at glendalough, how about going around it (possibly go over from the hollywood side most of the traffic will be in the opposite direction)
the route would look something like this.
M11 - Cullenmore (old N11 Cullenmore exit M11) - meeting point Ashford House Ashford, Rathnew - Rathdrum - Aughrim - Tinehealy - Hackets Town - Baltinglass - hollywood - Wicklow gap - Glendalough - Laragh - Roundwood - N11.
The surface on all these roads is pretty good after the winter. Also you don't get many tourists/day trippers on this route until you get back to glendalough.

Meeting time 10:30AM at the ashford House, Ashford, Co. Wicklow. Leaving 11AM For those coming from North of Wicklow, take the M50 southbound onto the N11 and them M11, take Exit 14 (Coyne's Cross, Cullenmore) and follow the road into Ashford For those coming from South of Wicklow, take the N11 Norththbound onto the M11, , take Exit 16 (Rathnew, Wicklow (North)) and follow the Signs for Ashford Drove the route from Aughrim to Hollywood last weekend on the bank holiday monday and had a clear run, no traffic whatsoever. The Roads are in good condition with a nice mix of tight bends, long corners, open straights and a healthy amount of 'dangerous bends' signs. Baltinglass is about half way and has ample on street parking and some cafes for a stop.
