Midlands Run Saturday Aug 6th CANCELLED

I know there is talk of a number of runs in various parts of the Country, but they tend to be on the coast (Cork, Donegal etc). With quite a number of new members this year, I though it would be nice to have a "Meet & Greet" run in the Midlands. With all the new Motorways, Tullamore is very accessible from all parts of the Country and one can easily do a return trip in the one day, if people do not want to stay over.

Only an idea at this stage, my thinking was that we meet up at 11.00 in Tullamore for a run (route to be decided), returning to Tullamore for late lunch, followed by the Kilbeggan Races ( http://www.kilbegganraces.com ) (will organise free passes hopefully!), first race 5.45pm. People could then head back from Kilbeggan or for anyone staying over, we can return to Tullamore for a few drinks in the Tap. The Bridge House are to come back to me with room/B & B rates, if anyone is interested.

As I say only an idea, putting it out here to gauge interest. I know it is peak holiday time, so timing may not be ideal

Ok. Just putting this back up to gauge interest. Its next weekend. Lets see what the interest is, will be easy for me to organize the details. For anyone considering staying over on the Sat, two further activities. One of the pubs in Tullamore is having a Street party weekend with free concerts.
