Was talking to my sister in Dublin earlier, 4hrs 40mins from Red Cow to Kingswood bridge (4km).

That top video was taken by my nephew, he was in the offices of the star newspaper..scary!

Not me thank God.

We drove home in the 323 last night but it did take us over 5 hours down the N4.

Frustrating that the inbound was completely clear and there was really only 2 spots of bad flooding outbound. I really don't see why that couldn't have been pumped out or out bound traffic diverted across for the duration of rush hour.

There was no planning involved despite the early warning from the Met. Imagine our frustration when we hear, after being stuck there for 3 hours, that they were having a meeting to discuss an emergency response! This after 2 days of rain.

Still we made is safely home. God bless the poor family of that Garda who bravely gave his life to warn others and the lady killed in Crumlin.
