Toyota twin cam

Went out to the Girlfriends parents for the Sunday lunch today and her brother said hey the cousin got a toyota corrola twin cam, fancy coming down to have a look at it.
Why not i said, something to do before lunch, What i saw when i pulled up wasn't exactly what i expected.........

What a beast, 2 litre turbo'd sr20det s14 engine, fully stripped out drift spec recently in from japan.
Going to be entering it in the prodrift series.
and the noise off it........

wow - nice twin cam..........nice bodywork.....and the front l/h headlamp missing and all to aid airflow to the K&N - serious motor!

I got car dynoed recently and there were two twin cams done before me.

The noise off them was UNBELIEVEABLE! and they were both pretty stock.

what kinda power were that putting out Hugh?

hey, I wonder could we get a dyno day going sometime, would be a good laugh! never had it done before........ :?

I think they were getting around 115, but that might have been at the flywheel. Still, not bad power loss for a car thats around 20 years old....


The guy who did my dyno run was good, brand new gear, cost 80 quid.

Might be worth saying it to him if there is enough interest. Could be made part of a Kerry run this summer.
