dehumidifying cabin/boot

Carpet is wet after a stormy night + the boot lid is dripping on the underside.
Anyone used this stuff rather than silica gel before?

Would have thought something like this would be better as its reusable http://www.aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/speci ... _19935.htm might have some left in stock. That I of you can leave it plugged in at night of course
