Mk2 Seats into Mk2.5

Hi all, came across spotless Mk2 seats at the weekend and snapped them up for my Mk2.5 as the drivers seat in my car has wear in the bum area! When it came to fitting them I saw that there is wiring going to the seats in the Mk2,5 (occupency sensors?) and none on the Mk2 seats. Am I screwed here and not able to use these new seats or is there anything I can do? Thanks.

my mk2 seats have the wiring you mention, im not sure if they are related to safety or not. it could be the heated seats which the mk2.5 has if im correct or could be to the seat belts to tell one of them annoying buzzers ye havent buckled in. does your mk2.5 have heated seats?
