Quarter Tank Problem

Postby pjmazda » Fri, 04 May 2012 3:03 +0000

Hi Guys,

98 MKII Eunos Roadster starts miss firing when fuel gauge drops slightly below quarter tank level.
Fill it back up and goes perfectly again until next time it drops below quarter tank level.
Happens every time without fail. Didn't always do this only started doing this about 6 months ago.

I don't believe the gauge is reading high, so for some reason when the tank level falls to quarter fuel starvation kicks in.
Any clues? Anyone else see this one before?

Thanks in advance,
P.J.

I'm guessing so...its standard setup..no mods to fuel tank setup here.

just wondering is a breather pipe blocked. Next time it does it, open the filler and try it again.
