My baby's all better

Postby shenab » Tue, 28 Aug 2012 5:11 +0000

Ohh I feel like I've got a new car. Boot replaced with new lock, bumper too and while they had it in I also got that infernal ding removed from the bonnet - no more square dent right in the middle of my eye line. yepee

What a nice rear I have -- :D

And my front aint so bad either

The sun doesn't hurt.

Tank full and there is a possibility I am in love again and will be calling Robert to get my clip and go for a spin this very weekend. Somewhere with no stones or mad MX peel-out driver (ah hem PJ)

Happy driving zoom zoom

:D :D :D :D :D

PS Have to give a mention to DZ Services in Greenogue .. they did a lovely job .. don't you agree?

Nice to see you've got the body back in shape..pity that it's so late in the season but sure now you'll be raring to go next Summer ( well , what passes as Summer).... in the meantime if you wanna call a run or gathering count me in provisionally ! ( all dependent on usual factors)

John

PS
I assume himself's happy with the bodywork too!!

Paint is 90% Johnv and my choice not to go the extra 10% on an 11 year old car which would have cost double the price. Am very very pleased with the result.

Took her for a spin to Robert tonight and got my clip so hard top in storage for another couple of weeks at least .. It's about time too :)

JohnL a run may be on the cards yet .. Hmm I'm thinking I'd love a Cork run

Cork sounds good, and Shenab just drop 3 or 4 cars behind me and you'll be fine 8)

PJ - I'd rather be in front :)

WRT Cork Run. I'm not the best person to organise it and Paschal is doing the midland thang in Sept. so maybe not just yet. I'm in Cork the BH in Oct which is prob too late and definitely trying to arrange a bit of work in the city before then so this might be a last minute arrangement. Lets see what pans and then perhaps one of the locals will assist with the route. Pat&Donna - perhaps you fancy giving the route a go?

I just committed myself to the run through the Midlands this weekend/next weekend (when ever) and am away in the caravan then until early Oct, (what a life), but after then I would be game for a run and am quite happy to throw my tuppence worth on interesting routes. If nothing else we are going to have to organise a 'cars and coffee' some Sunday. Little Island, Fermoy, where ever?

That's sort of where I was at and I got a good price as there was other work being done because of the accident. There is a slight mismatch as i didn't pay for all the blending stuff but nothing i can't live with and really didn't want to spend the another 1k on the car for esthetics. They are good guys and will not rip you off.
