Re: Tea at the Vee 24th MarchRoute looks fine. Can I suggest meeting up somewhere north of Fermoy around 9.30? Exit 13 (I think that is the Mitchelstown Exit on the Cork side) has a bit of room on the old road into Mitchelstown where we can gather and pop back onto the motorway again easily.

Re: Tea at the Vee 24th MarchOnly three mx5s here lads.. Hopefully more will show up along the road
Re: Tea at the Vee 24th MarchWould have loved to have made this. Party plans were changed to 5 so I couldn't make this. Was planning on this all week only to be told yesterday I can't go.
Anyone going on the 5 county drive next weekend?
Re: Tea at the Vee 24th MarchLads, you all missed a great run today. Unfortunately I couldn't get beyond Lismore due to my sons car acting up, (fuel pump probably). By that stage there were heading on thirty cars of all descriptions, everything from a Micra to a Aston Martin DB. I'm well used to the Vee so it's not the end of the world for me not to get to the final leg. Thanks to Rhys and Lasse for the company and to all the other lads from all over the country. Not one messer and some lovely roads.

Re: Tea at the Vee 24th Marchmy favourite pic of the day
Re: Tea at the Vee 24th Marchhaha nice! Any more photos?
Had to skip this as I'd an airport run to do.
Re: Tea at the Vee 24th MarchNice run indeed, with a lot of different cars in the convoy, Aston Martin DB9, a couple of Delta Integrales, several Mx-5s, Rx-7s, Honda S2000s. Think I saw an Lotus Exige join at some point around Mitchelstown. 2,5 Turbo Lexus LX400/Soarer - driver and 7 weeks old baby and mother in the back, unfortunately broke down about 10 minutes away from the Vee at the end of the run. There was also a late 90s Nissan Micra joining at some stage, poor girl in the passenger seat, the driver was almost toppling the car over in the turns trying to keep up.
Weather was fresh, some would say cold, with one mx5(me) and 2 S2000s running a lot of the run top down. Interesting indeed. Managed to latch on the soft top after with the help of only one more man, as opposed to 7 the first time I put it on. All in all, a fun run, a couple of u-turns, and cars that wanted or lets say could finish, did so, none lost along thanks to good stewarding by the arrangers. Very good having all brands, all welcome. A sidenote seems to be that there was several clubs taking various approaches up to the Vee. We met some more Civics, veteran truck, Corvette with same yellow as one of the RX-7s when we came to the top, at the end of our run. There was rumours some Italian cars and more Americans had been there earlier on the day. x-'91 1.6
