Mk2 2.5 rust

Not sure if this is widely know about over here but seems rust is a major issue on mk2 and 2.5s.
Any owners of them would do well to check out their chassis as it seems to be a serious design flaw.

Some scary photos in that thread! Is it true that they salt the roads in the UK much more than here though? I'm nervous to look under my newly acquired MK2 now!

Not wishing to scare you, I had a mk2 that came from UK...it was eventually scrapped because of tinworm..now have a eunos mk1, 10 years older...rock solid!!

My Mk2 came from the UK too! did just pass NCT so there's some hope (not much)! Any where in particular to look when I do get a chance?
