Hello

Hello Everyone,

I married a Dublin lady a good few years ago, last year she had a bit of a health scare, which led to a few re-evaluations and earlier this year we moved to Dublin from the U.K.

Now that she's sorted, what I want to do now is buy an MX-5.

I'm completely new to this, but is buying a U.K. car an option?

I ask, because a mile down the road from where I used to live in London is a dealer with a pretty good choice of used MX-5s.

Scrub that, I've just been doing some googling on VRT.

Welcome to the site. VRT will kill you unless its a reasonably new one. Irish ones should be less likely to suffer from rust as we don't salt our roads as much.

Yes, VRT killed my car. They wanted EUR893 for my '96. The car was only worth eur1800 or so.
