Ash, is the Lexus to replace the 5.....or the Vectra? (Or is it another addition to the stable?).
mrges
Maybe get rid of both and replace with one. (and its a toyota altezza btw)
Just in one of them moods where the cars pissing me off and i don't get to use it as much as i would like. Its getting expensive to run the two cars when things constantly need doing and the fact that diesel has gone up to €1.40 + /litre is making me have a rethink about things. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3099765 "When I make a key the on position and push the button, an engine works"
Good luck with whatever you decide to do......
I have to agree, the cost of fuel seems atrocious at the moment - although I heard JC on a fairly recent edition of Top Gear putting things into perspective........we happily pay over £1 (€1.30?) for 500mls of bottled water and don't blink an eye about it. The same deal fo fuel will allow you to travel a couple of kilometres. mrges
I hears you about the fuel, but also €850 a year for tax, €2600 a year for insurance, tyres, service items, constant repair work (or so it seems)
Just getting on top of me. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3099765 "When I make a key the on position and push the button, an engine works"

I totally understand whereyou are coming from Ash it just gets to you when you spend more time caring and maintaining the 5 than using the car.I sometimes think its more of a job than a hobby owning one of these cars and the fact you have to do every job yourself because you cant trust cowboy mechanics is a real pisser.I had a busy year last year and didnt have much of time for the 5 so i got a "professional" mechanic to do a few jobs so i went to check the plugs the other day cant budge them he replaced a rear caliper on my Dads 5 sent him without brake fluid and didnt even bleed the system and worse is he replaced a timing belt for me and im positive he did not use treadlocker on crank bolt or even worse torque the bolt to the required 120ft lbs?Its crap like this you could do without.
