Super Sunny Saturday

Postby valred » Sat, 31 May 2008 5:49 +0000

Hi gentlebugs,

Just returned from a mini-run around Dublin in what has been my warmest ever drive in a MX5. Headed out towards Liffey Valley on the bloomin ridiculous M50.......crawling along (despite no-one actually working on the 'roadworks')......passed by two gents in a 92 mk 1 (navy/black) = ignored.
Ah well tis a lovely day.
Headed up to Blanchardstown and back around to Dundrum...Rathfarhnam..........Harolds Cross.......Rathgar......saw gent in new MX5 at lights = ignored.
Ah well tis a lovely day.
Around Rathmines/Ranelagh........Clonskeagh........silver 98 MX5 = ignored.
Ah well tis a lovely day.
Two red Ferraris passed by on the N11 at lights = they looked at my little lizard.

Go figure!!!
Ah well twas a bloody great day!! Sunburnt now!!
val.

Val, I can see you're having a ball with your 5.
Great to see people being well and truly bitten by the bug

You really need to go to Waterford in a few weeks time for the run, can't recall if you already declined or committed?

John

John I haven't officially declined or accepted a place on the Waterford run though I am hoping to get down for the saturday leg. I really have to try as these 'one-woman runs' are great but slightly lonely!!!!

Waz....you were so lucky with the weather as it was a good old week and even yesterday was absolutely glorious where you met me.......lord god I drove down from dublin with the top down and have lovely sunburnt shoulders as a result!! But god it was lovely! And when the UK had thunderstorms............ha............I laughed as I passed people swealtering in their 'hard' tops!

what did I do before a mx5????????????????? :?:

Ok I'm coming out of the closet .. having sat on the sidelines for too long.

Val if you are looking for a second for the run to Waterford on the Saturday I think I can .. yes maybe I could .. if perhaps .. maybe .. argh .. yes I can commit!!

I know nothing about cars, have done nothing to it but love my zoom zoom and after seeing the photos from the Kildare-Wicklow run have decided the aprons need an airing!

Have just returned from a weekend in Wexford meandering in the family 323 (yawn!)) and was dying to get back into my baby this morning. Roof down at 7:05 .. YES!

you up for it?
