hi my window stopped working i took of door card and seen a steel wire broken is it handy fixed the motor still working

Re: elctric widow probelmHi Emmet ,its not worth trying to fix the cables etc .Just get another regulator complete with cables and bolt it in.The cable kits are available in Uk for approx 35 pounds plus exchange and delivery.Apparently its too hard to get them working correctly afterwards.This advice comes from a Mazda Mender in Uk and he does not even fit the cables.!!
Re: elctric widow probelmIf it's the original regulator you also run into the potential problem of it failing again later on. I agree with autocheck just replace the whole unit. Is it the passenger window? I had a dodgy one and the window would take forever to go up. Replaced it with a new regulator and it was like a new car. Regs are cheap enough.
