Mx-5 owners netherlands

Postby Marcelkrechting » Wed, 27 May 2015 4:04 +0000

After a rather succesful trip from Land's End to John O'Groats in 2014 . Our first International MX-5 Meeting in 2015 and several other trips to Germany and Belgium, we are ready for a new adventure. The Celtic Course !
We would love to do the Antrim Coast Road from Larne to Derry. After that into the Republic , the Glenveagh National Park, staying overnight in the Donegal region, a Sligo visit and after that to Enniskillen and finally Belfast.
All this is to take place at the Ascension weekend of 2016 4-5-6-7-8-9-10 -11th of may.
We would like to hear from you and perhaps meet somewhere along the twisting roads of your emerald paradise.
Suggestions on where to stay, eat and drink are more then welcome.Nice routes and daring scenery too.
Expect 10 cars with 20 individuals from NL alone, plus some extra from the UK.

We will update the information on this trip on set times, so check this every now and then.

Hallo Dutch vrienden may I suggest a couple of roads for you to take, the first one is in Co Sligo if you are travelling from Sligo to Galway you can take this road, firstly its a small bit out of your way, its not a main road but you will never see scenery like it ever!!! I don't have the road number for it but if you put in Lough Easkey in your sat nav this will get you down this road. Lough Easkey is half way down this road, see the map below the road is marked in red.

The second road is when you are in the Gort area, take the R353 from Gort to Woodford, this is a main road and it would be a great drive for you all.

If you do this drive I would highly recommend Walsh's bar and restaurant in Woodford, you will get the best pint of guinness in Ireland and they do great food.
Walsh's number: 0909749012.

Given the 5th of May is on is on a Thursday this year, will 5's Day be on the Saturday 7th most-likely? If so, regardless it seems like it'd be cool if these two circumstances ended up overlapping. :)

Does anyone know who/what Club organises 5's Day normally?

This does genuinely sound amazing! Do you mind my asking you how much the accommodation is costing around Ireland?
