Hello jay, just read your post after a couple of days away from this thread.... Yes, a mighty good idea.... and I would perhaps have gone down the route you suggested as it is so good.... However, time was of essence for me because of the attempted theft, and I was afraid the car would be just towed away during the night and gone the following morning... I would have not been able to organize a raffle or anything like that either under the circumstances... I just needed to find a good home for it, which I did, and am happy about it. Anyway, Ray came to pick it up on last Friday and is storing the car in a dry warehouse building while thinking up a plan to restore it... I'm sure he will be sharing some of his stories relating to how he's doing with the project here.... The most important element for me is that the car will be restored in the spirit of honouring my late Partner... Thank you again jay, D.

Just came across this and I have to say Daria that this is a lovely gesture at this tough time and I look forward to seeing the little 5 getting back in shape and on the road.
