Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryProducts seem good, and you did a nice job on the interior ... a place always worth doing as thats where you spend your time in the car!
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryHad a quick go at the black parts of the seats
Before After Not sure if I should do the cream part, don’t know how it’ll work on perforated leather You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryHi Pops, been there. Use a soft bristle brush - artists brush to clean the perforations just after applying. Start low at the front - its the least obvious.Have had seats back to me with perforations nicely filled in by 'leather renovators'. Its not that bad after. Looks agreat job. I still have an awful pull towards an SLK. Love these updates.Len
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryHi Len, thanks for the tips . Busy work period at the moment so I’ll try in a couple of weeks, pretty happy with the results so far, even the color match seems good for the cheapest product I could find
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryThe leather renovation looks great, Pops.
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territory
Working out fairly well so far alright, I suppose it wasn’t really too bad to start with, will be interesting to see how long it will last
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryLooks great job Pops.
How much was it.? 1991 BRG V spec
One fella said to another.. 'I don't drink anymore'..........other fella said... 'ya but you don't drink any less either'.....
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryweakson leather paint, just looked it up on ebay, it's now about 8stg but the postage is fairly high now, I don't remember but I'd be surprised if I paid €11 postage per bottle, in my case it was well worth whatever it was that I paid. Have you got something that needs doing?
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryWell i was thinking of tackling the bolster on my mx5, but she's SOLD now.

Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryIt's worth keeping the weaksons in mind, they do all sorts of colours.
So you sold the mx5, I have to ask what's its replacement?
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territorySo due to boredom more than the want to do anything with the rust on the slk I decided I might as well re do the arches and wings as the rust is starting to take hold again
Forgot to take pics before I started but these are after applying the dinitrol Had to buy a new angle grinder as the last one burned out trying to grind the rivets from the meriva ball joints Had to stop using it when the grinder introduced itself to my thumb, had forgotten to put on the gloves when doing the last arch You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryLeft the rust treatment on over night
Today gave it a couple of coats of primer And of course you can rely on it to rain just as you finish You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryNice work! How's the thumb?

Re: A German is trying to invade my Japanese territoryHi Steve, for a very good reason dumb sounds like thumb, very lucky it was a flap disc and not a cutting disc so got away with just a small loss of skin, it'll be a reminder to use the gloves anymore.
Got the first layer of filler on it yesterday, it had just about dried when the rain came, I'd no choice really but to use the garage even though I wanted to get the filling and sanding done outside. Had to ask very nicely if she wouldn't mind waiting outside while the merc got a bit of attention You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
