How much coolant do I need for a Mk1? I drained the rad when I was removing the broken bolt from the housing.

6ltrs required for an empty system
50/50 mix with silicate free coolant (pink) / distilled water , so 3 ltrs of each

Pink? What's wrong with the blue stuff? When I drained the rad it wasnt pink coolant.

the blue stuff isnt silicate free and will destroy your water pump seals
