Re: ecu units wantedOw... Had a jeep with the same problem took me a year to find one.. was not impressed... BUT, out of bad things I'm now the happy owner of a mk2 mx5 so something good came out of my problem.
But think you should be able to find something to suit I'm sure pretty soon. Glen
Re: ecu units wantedWhy two??
![]() Re: ecu units wantedmy car has burnt out two of them actully its burnt three of them!!
Re: ecu units wantedJay, you may have seen that my car has been scrapped after an incident on the run last Monday. If you're interested in a complete re-wiring ( assuming it's a mk1 you have) I could see about taking the loom out. It could be an alternative to constantly blowing ecu's. Have you had the alternator checked? does the car have a voltage regulator or such like??
John.
![]() Re: ecu units wantedgot one for AN mx5 I think interested ?
Re: ecu units wantedCan anyone else add to this thread as to why jayryan's car is cooking his ecu's?? Would faulty sensors cause this? If it was to be put on a mazda diagnostic computer will they find the problem?? Has anyone here got the software /hardware to read the codes??
Will re-wiring it make a difference? If some sensor is knackered and causing the problem then re-wiring is not necessarily gonna solve it. John

I reckon he needs to find out why the car is frying the ecu first, he's already gone through several of them John
