Who's best? eiretyres/blackcircles/camskill???

Hi,

Going to have to splash out on some rubber in the new year.
Have used Eiretyres in the past - very good, 5-7 working days delivery - happy with price and service in the past.
But with Sterling cheap at the min, Who's best for prices, service, selection and delivery , blackcircles or camskill???

any thoughts/personal experience.

I've used camskillls and they where great (better than eiretyre) Dave recently got some of black circles who were better on price. Again better than eiretyres.

I have to get Tyres for the jeep and then, (when i have cash) - Rota's for the 5 and tyres to shod them with.

You've a Jeep? Cool! Which one? We've a Cherokee(XJ) , I've a bit of a love hate relationship with it! ;-)

Picked up 4 Toyo Open Country HTs from camskill, delivered in 3 working days, 23stlg delivery :

Great grip (on and only been mildly offroad so far with them), v.quiet, REALLY improved the handling + comfort, would DEF recommend .. (had Cooper A/Ts and General's on before.. good offroad, brutal on).
Bought 4 Nankangs from them for the '5 a few months back too.

Hi Steve,

Well, i was wrong in saying jeep as in the brand jeep, i just call it "the jeep", like when my wife says to me, Ollie, where did you leave such and such, i say its out in the "jeep".
Actually, its my Kia Sorrie........and i must say i love my "jeep" :wink:

Great for towing too - which i do a lot of.
I had it for sale here and on carzone and the like, and its still for sale really in a half hearted way but theres no market for secondhand metal at the moment so i could'nt give it away at the moment :roll:

Anyway, gonna need tyres soon for it, and a good service with V belt change,fuel,air,oil filter change,diff oil changes etc etc.

Anyone else used Tyreshop.ie - Galway based outfit. I had previously used Eiretyres, but last time I tried, they wouldn't take c-card & wouldonly accept bank draft (so 20th century). Tyreshop were excellently priced & delivered within a few days

Yup, have had a set, great in the wet, soft so wear fast enough then go off v.quickly after that.
Think I'll go Toyo's next, am happy with the Nankangs but have had better (like the Bridgestone Rainsports).

I think I'll give the Bridgestones a try, got them on the car right now and they were perfect...but smaller ones of course.

I was planning to buy F1s this weekend... but I'll look at the Bridgestone Rainsports now.

Hang on, the Rainsport is a Uniroyal product. What's the name of the Bridgestone tyre that you're talking about?

I went over to the tyre supplier and he actually brought out a few different tyres and fitted them onto a wheel just to see how they'd look.
I've decided on an order of 225/45-16s and he'll have them at the start of next week.

When I saw a tyre close to 225/45-16 (215/50-16) on the wheel and then pictured the real thing on it I just said to myself "OH MY GOD !!".
They look fookin AWESOME !!!

(PS) Mx5Ireland members have a group buy/discount from that tyre supplier here in Cork, as I have mentioned before I think ?

I've ordered a set of 225/45-16.
Only getting about 50 euro off as it's just myself and no other members.
Bigger discount if we all booked in a day for new tyres and fitting, they'd look after us all at once etc.
