Galway run - what to bring

Postby mx5ash » Sat, 04 Apr 2009 8:08 +0000

Right guys and girls, Since this will be the first meeting of the year i seem to have saved up a lot of things that i have sold/promised to people at the next meet,
So far i have
Roll bar - midlife (fergus has taken the perspex wind blocker)
Pipercross filter - Medic
Windblocker - medic
Shocks/springs - return to Steve
Cam cover - Steve (this depends on Dave getting his swapped over in time)

Is there anything else i should be bringing (or anything i might have for sale that might interest anyone (Black brace bar/style bar, Side mount plate bracket, mx5 seat runners, white dial set, white heater panel, chrome grill)

let me know
Cheers

Sound, anyone else got a side mount plate?
Or any idea where I'd get one......rapid.... thanks.

I should have the following for take away:
Original front bumper,
Cover for passenger head light pop up,
Two original side repeaters,
Two original front indicators,
Set of yellow fog lamps.
AND a Set of original rear lights

Also working on getting 3 or 4 of the fuel chrome lids from New Zealand at a good price.

Also have a set of original rear lights for Mk 1

Thanks for the advice Steve, but doing a major job on the car at the moment, so trying to "fund raise" :)

(However, might reconsider the bumper sale)

Ok all pms replied to, Ollie side mount plate yours if you want it, Pj white dials no bother if you want them, Steve heater panel and grill if you want them.
Let me know so i can bring everything up with me.
If I think of anything else I'll stick it up and same goes for everyone else, May as well turn this in to a swap meet whilst we are all together. :P

I know I'm new to this, but is there a route? I will be in Sligo for the weekend and HOPE to be surfing but if the weather doesn't suit surfing I might take the car and Galway ain't THAT far away. Other than that I'd meet people on the Waterford/Wexford run.

Hi

the Galway gig sees us gathering in & around Spiddal on 04/24. Most folks staying in the neighbourhood, so best to get a few contact #'s & keep an eye on the Runs & Tech days forum

There is no real suitable meeting point in Spiddal (for 20 cars). However the Connamara Coast Hotel, Furbo, (3.5 miles the Galway side of Spiddal) has a MASSIVE car park, so probably best to meet there, good place for photo opportunities and it's a clear landmark.
