Hey lads

great day, thaks for the hands. It'll take me another three days to put away all those tools.

Weather was good for most of the day, although we did have the Amazing Flying Gazebo ;-) BTW the neighbour's bouncy castle has just parked itself on my lawn, so it's still a bit windy out there...

Feargal is now turbo'd. We didn't get a chance to let the car stretch its legs but the old girl can lift her skirt and show some lively heels !

Huge thanks to Frank for giving up his saturday, his skills and his tools to get me all turbo'd up. I owe you more than a few pints.

Thanks also to Derrick for solving the rubber bung issue. That was a bitch to get off. Thanks to Carmen for helping out as I was losing the plot with the stupid alternator bolt and to Dave King for.... well taking the piss mostly

Got to open her up a little on the way home and it's DEFINITELY working. Couple of miles of heat shield to get before everything melts

First impressions are that I F**kin Love it. When it kicks in it's smile city.

Still afraid of melting eberything so need to get heat shield on soon. Car is driving much smoother even before boost. some odd noises from the engine that concern me a lttle. but it's driving lovely

Did you fit the bipes/boost gauge? Any turkey gobble noises? If you have them you'll know what I mean ;-)

How long did the install take?

Damn straight you can Geese. That would be excellent. I think i might need a new pipe to come off the turbo. not really happy with the intake set up as it is. Filter is in a very hot place

Didn't fit the Bipes yet or the guage. Install took over 6 hours and the Bipes instructions now live up a tree in Frank's neighbours Garden :D Stupid wind caused some 'issues' all day.

Hoping to fit those next weekend, again with Frank's assistance. He's a smashing Bloke Steve, don't know what you did to upset him at all

Hey Colin,

FEARGAL here  . Exhsust note is much better now. Alot quieter than it was. Either that or I just can't hear it over the noise of the engine.

Have to put some thought into the heat insulation alright. As with most threads there's a lot of conflicting views on that thread. Hope to get a heat shield of some sort over the turbo and wrap the vulnerable pipes and wires with heat resistant tape. Hadn't thought about the manifold yet but sure we'll see how she goes.

Here's hoping the rain fecks off soon. Bit afraid to go nuts in the wet until i get to know the car in it's new state
