Clio, have you entered your car with the organisers?

I should get along if I'm not working but will have to leave my car in the carpark

Not 100% but think you can turn up and pay on the day to get your car in.

Well i totally forgot to send in my form on time however, according to this
www.irishjagclub.ie/CarShowEntry09a.doc
we can turn up on the day and pay €15 to get in.
Did anyone get a form sent back to them?
I'll contact them and see what the story is with us.

Never really got the classic car show idea, i mean, if the spectators pay to see classic cars why then do the people who bring along there classics have to pay?

Buy the looks of things the spectators actually pay less.

No classics - no event - no money.

Right just got of the phone to the jag club and we are booked in for a club stand row D
The entry form is available here http://www.irishjagclub.ie/
and if you get it in the post asap (i.e this evening) then you will get the reduced rate of €10 plus a commemorative plate. If you want to turn up on the day then you have to be there early (2pm the very latest) and pay €15 at the gate. You will also need the form filled out prior to arrival.
Anyone who hasn't been or isn't sure then i would say come along for the day. Its not a normal run as there is very little driving however it is a good day out with some lovely cars on show and a great chance to have a chat with other members etc. iirc Fergal bought a camping stove 2 years ago and we all had tea at the stand.
Ken from the jag club said they have huge interest this year and are struggling to find spaces for all the car clubs to come so should be a great day out.
Hope to see you all there

The fact that the proceeds of the day goes to Cheeverstown House is a very good reason and €10 is a very small subscription. A good show of MX5's would make for a very sociable day out.

You're not gonna believe this, I rang the NCT today for a test on my 5, no place available in my local centre (Naas) until September so they offered me the first available spot in Fonthill , SUNDAY 5TH JULY 11:30 am. This may scupper plans to go to Terenure as a participant, might still get there as spectator though

Yeah, all very well, but I have had a few classics in the past and been to many shows, a good deal of them have not been for charities and still you are asked to pay.

10 euro is not the full cost, you have to prepare your car, get there, eat drink etc. I don't mind prepping the car and travel and spending money on shite food while I'm there, but after a lot of shows you get tired of entrance fees.

If you go to see a gig do the band have to pay the venue to perform? Your cars are the entertainment.

I still think it should be vendors and spectators who pay. As I said no cars no show.
