Hey non-campers!!

If there are enough of us, what about getting a house .. it might work out a bit cheaper than b&b? There are some on Daft from €200/week off season ..

Interested Susan/Ann (if you are coming Friday?)/ Hilly/ any one any one .. Buller .. Buller .. ???

Shena

Just got a price for this place http://www.daft.ie/searchshortterm.daft ... 0&search=1 of €175 Friday to Monday, if you guys are interested.

House ??????

What about the tent Shena ? Theres nothing like the sound of rain falling on canvas whilst you roll in your wet sleeping bag !!! And then theres the birds who have this notion that everybody else wants to be woken at first light - of course then theres the trip to the loo in the middle of the night in the piss*n rain only to find when you get there that there no bog roll and its been taken over by flies and slugs - then theres walking to the wash room with your basin full of dirty dishes, teatowel over shoulder, only to realise that you have no washing up liquid and there's no stopper in the sink......... and then..........

The joys of camping - who needs a house.... can't wait - its a man thing.....

Rob

I know I know how could I resist .. still, I will just have to forgo those joys. Last time I was camping it was my mum doing the washing up! Not sure if you've read of the tails in the IoM but that put me right off. Rats, Cows and dodgy grounds people :(

I don't own a tent and by the time I invested in all the gear it would be just as cheap for me to share rental on a house. The other girlies did express an interest in b&b ing it :D This could be a cheaper alternative.

However, the jury is still out. I might be mucking out if I can't get any takers.

Hi Shena,

I hope I can go on the Friday night. I don't mind the whole tenting it caper but with you on the not owning a tent etc and the cost for gear would equate to more than a night in the B&B. Let me know which you go for cos I could prob borrow a tent if need be if necessary.

Looking forward to meeting up with ya snoring or no snoring!

Hi Ann

Guy came back with €175 Friday to Monday (have asked for a price until Sunday!) so depending if Susan gets the car fixed and if Hilly joins us we may have a good deal. Perhaps newbie Molly too?

I might have my OH too .. so that's a big maybe on 5 .. you'll only be with us for the one night, so its going to be dead cheap me thinks .. but all depends on numbers.

C'mon girlies .. save us from mucky fields. Noone said I had to get all mucky when I got my 5! (no comments from the lads please!) Failing this I might be going to Lidl tomorrow morning *sob*

Go for the house Ladies, we guys promise not to come knocking on the door when the heavens open at 4 in the morning

Seriously though, if a house can be rented for a weekend then why not if its cost efficient? My missus and one of the daughters might also join, thus breaking down the cost per head of the rental.

Shenab,

I'm making the decision to go for the Friday night for def. If my husband can make it put us down for 2 and if he can't I may well bring a friend along instead, would that be alright?

Excuse my ignorance but what's OH...know I'm gonna feel stupid when u tell me!
