Medic, I've a spare 2 man tent if you need to borrow one? It hasn't been taken out of its bag in a few years so might need some airing..

Saturday run maybe :?:
there is a cool beachbar on Aughris Head just west of Sligo. Its off the N59 heading north.Been there before and had a nice bite to eat.Easy to get to from Lough Key head up the N4 left onto the N59 for Ballysadare and right at Skreen. Its a cul de sac type arrangement with parking for about 40 cars. From there take the coast road west to Easky to watch the surfers. You can park right along the shoreline with spectacular views.I'd say about 1 hour to Aughris from Lough Key then another 20 mins to Easky.heading back then to Lough Key there are a myriad of cross country roads leading to Boyle.Anyway its just a thought maybe somebody can add a bit to it. http://www.thebeachbarsligo.com/

Sound good Ritchie, we should hit that place for lunch on the sat maybe?. No sign of Dave (Gunners5) on here in a bit, he's sligo based - anyone got a mobile no for him? He's know plenty of good roads for the 5 too I'd say.

this run is only really a suggestion.I'm sure it can be improved on by the locals but I dont imagine you will end up too far from a Galway destination.I would be all on for a longer spin heading further West but I have no idea how much drivin people want to do.Anyway i cant wait to get back into a convoy of 5's as the IOM was such a laugh.

Richie,
I thought you had enough excitement recently getting your wife to hospital...and then the immediate birth of your son :alien:

Methinks you're a bit of an adrenaline junkie...... :D

Looking forward to the run/camping/craic

Regards John.

"I have no idea how much drivin people want to do."

All day please :-)

Couple of suggestions for the route planner.. Ollie?

R294 to Ballina/Inniscrone for a spin on the beach (pardon the pun) :

Up to Glencar waterfall via the N59/N4/N16:

round Kings mountain on N15 to Horseshoe road (see : http://franklludwig.com/xhorseshoe1.html and http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=54.384606,-8.398104&spn=0.033888,0.077162&z=14 for more)

Then back by the rally stages someone mentioned earlier?
