@ Tom - naaaa, I did Preston House and was'nt that impressed by it, McEvoys is a new place on the right handside heading north in the middle of the town - its new and real nice and owned by Durrow Castle in Durrow.

There will be plenty of Parking up the back of the Clelands supermarket nearby.

Google maps prob gives the n62/n65(?) but unfortunately doesn't allow for midlands horsebox pullers/blue haired micra drivers. n/m6 + n80 is the route i use. Send on the link tho', i'd be interested to see which route they give.

Yep - count us in. Could be interested in staying the night before too. Still on a high after the weekends run!!! Poor Seán has to head back again on the M8 to Cork this morning for the week after us travelling back up from that direction yesterday. Says he might take the van through Healy pass though !!!

just did the Healy Pass in the Vito.......not recomended in the wet a tall atall !!!!!

Seriouys rubber left after the weekend on all the hairpins so i am presuming all the locals were out in force, couple of skid marks over the edge just down from the bridge too!!!!! Will have another go tomorrow before i head back home.

Had to head to Castletownbere today.....again, so couldnt pass the Healy Pass!!!! Lovely and cosy yes but i'm dreading opening the side doors as id say the £17k borescope and all the spanners/socket sets had an all out orgy after the first hairpin! Ill pull the ebd/abs fuse out tomorrow for the crack as the feckin traction control spoils all the fun. MERCEDES PLEASE NOTE.........WHEN YOU SWITCH OFF ASR IT SHOULD STAY OFF.
Have to borescope both engines as we reckon the valves that were fitted at the last 900hr service are incorrect. One Scottish Boat shat both engines because of this last week at a cost of well over £100k.
