Darn it. Housebound and bored. Can't drive yet, so have to think of all you guys spinning wheels and deals, while I watch Judge Judy and Murder She Wrote!
Climbed Elbrus, Island Peak, Kilimanjaro, Elgon, Everest BC, Mulhacen, Elgon, Kayaked the Liffey to the Nile, swam the Liffey, the Lee & packed ten triathlons into a year... catch me blogging on: http://www.teenagates.com

Hi
Well I called in the octane meet but didn't see anyone I know so headed off fairly quickly as I had a busy day. Did any of you go?

All I will say is: - it has Lucas electrics (the windscreen wipers have a mind of their own) - yet it has airbags and ABS - nearly 300hp - it's very definitely a Castleknock MILF-magnet - I drive around in it playing this tune repeatedly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8RfzkhqBLYSusan - when I went to Carrickmines, I didn't see anyone. Guess they must have split earily. I was fashionably late as usual

I was there alright! I arrived late ( approx 11.45 ) and left at about 13.00 and there was still plenty there. Nice mix of cars there everything from BMW 850CSi to classic Fiat 500 to Lancia Delta Integrale to Lotus Elises to Vauxhall Vx220 and Opel speedsters and of course a mk1 and my mk2 Mx5 plus lots and lots more For future reference Cars and Coffee happens on the first Sunday of every month at the retail park in Carrickmines. Normal spot is at Costa Coffee on the left as you enter the retail park but when it rains the location is the underground carpark under the right side of the retail park. Always a great morning and a very friendly bunch! There are also a couple of regional ones dotted around the country e.g. the 2nd Sunday of the month C&C moves to Galway. All the details are in Back Roads on Octane.ie . Cars and Coffee is open to everyone its not just confined to people from the website so a group from here would fit in very well. Here's some pics courtesy of Speedy on Octane.ie Scimitar and BMW More at HERE

Lovely Scimitar !
Yeah, I went to the underground carpark, thought that's where things had relocated to. Alright, noted for next time !

Coma coffee, heres a link to the map http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8& ... 4&t=h&z=15This one has been featured in Irish Vintage Scene magazine this month so there should be a good mix of cars there. You should definitely pop down, the Galway one is relatively new compared to the Carrickmines one so the more the merrier to get it well established.
