I just got to know the bloke in my local Halfords by having the craic with him.
He was a great guy (he's gone now to carrikmines shop), into his cars (has an FTO) and I asked for one and he gave me one as he knewIi was in every so often getting bit's and bob's.
I then asked about getting one for all of us here in mx5ireland and he put as call into their trade manager but the guy never ever rang me back........I might chasse that up...leave that with me.
Still, I think from memory taxi drivers qualify too as well as trade people.
It's handy to have, and has saved me QUITE a few bob esp. on mobil1 oils etc.
Very handy too to have on a Sunday or Sat Afternoon when the motorfactors are closed too. I only used the card there the other day getting oil for the wifes jeep - i got 2 x 5 litres of Halford own brand 10W40 turbo diesel oil - decent quality oil supplied to Halfords by Comma oils,so its ok stuff - only €14 ea with the trade card!
Actually, is carrickmines your local halfords Frank?, my olde mate may sort you there, I can give him call etc.

I checked it out at our local Halfords in Limerick a few months back and was told they were fairly easy to obtain until they brought in new forms etc which need to be faxed to head office before any new cards would be issued.

asked in my local store before xmas and was told they would check. went in today and they said only trade and when i mentioned taxis they said that it's now only one card per taxi company. head office policy.
