Oh my Gawd... that link's stunning. So sorry I missed out, but I did make it past the Sphinx in Glendalough (my first ever mountain hike). Gave Geese a ring, as he kindly suggested, but I'd just missed you guys. It's a regular meet yes?
Climbed Elbrus, Island Peak, Kilimanjaro, Elgon, Everest BC, Mulhacen, Elgon, Kayaked the Liffey to the Nile, swam the Liffey, the Lee & packed ten triathlons into a year... catch me blogging on: http://www.teenagates.com

Only back an hour ago (broke down in Birdhill)

Jaysus, what a turnout! Great to the 5s and Roadsters mixed in with all the other stuff, I reckon we had 200 cars there from all over at one stage. Sorry I didn't get to meet any of ye, but let's face it, in that crowd, it would have been hard to find my own mother!

Loads and loads of photos and chat in the thread here:

I feel very guilty for ever having spoken highly of that car. Ya must have bought it off some terrible cowboy. Seriously, that's rotten luck. Hope you get this sorted and put the car's niggles behind you. If you count the bumper incident, that's 3 bits of bad luck now isn't it?

Disappointed I wasn't at Carrickmines but I did see an NS-X, Gallardo and 996 heading Ulsterwards on my way home from the airport yesterday.

Looks like electrical gremlins again, radio cut out outside Nenagh, and the car had to be push started from Mulrooney's, and ran out of spark altogether at Birdhill. AA dude check the battery with the multimeter, read 11v with ign off, 12v with it on, but dropped to 8 with the lights on. Alternator has just been refurb'd, so it's back with my mech for more diagnosis. He'll fix the bumper as well while he has it.

Watch this space! :D

VDubbin, missed you yesterday. I had a tin of wax from Shena for you, at least I think it was you I had to give it to.
Next time

Will be curious to see how you fix this one.

Hey John, that wax was for me...thought I could meet vdublin in Limerick to collect but looks like he was busy enough with his car.

I can get it off you again...no hurry.

Vid from the exit of the car park. That's my car, the first one out, but who is the silver MX5 behind me with the chrome rollbars ?

Actually, lots of other '5ers in that video. There was a good crowd of us there on the day - I gave Ollie the daytime-running-lights I had, looks like they will be a perfect fit for the bumper he has on his car. Ger's car was making all the right noises with that turbo install. Turbos love underground carparks ;-)
