MAZDA in Mondello Deal

Postby leamyj » Sun, 17 Feb 2008 10:42 +0000

The following is from one of the local papers, the KILDARE POST, 13th Feb

Mazda in Mondello deal:
Mazda is to be the official car of the Mondello Racing School. As a result, the Mazda 3 models will be race prepared with full roll-cage and racing seats. Two Mazda BT-50 pick ups will be supplied for use as Fast Intervention vehicles.
The deal was announced last week after the signing of an exclusive 5-year deal which will see Mazda Motor Ireland as the exclusive supplier of vehicles to the school.
Under the agreement terms, Mazda Motor Ireland will supply Mondello Park with 10 race-ready Mazda 3 vehicles which will be used throughout the coming race season.
The Mazda 3 is renowned as one of the most responsive and sharpest handling cars in its class, and this dynamic chassis will now provide the platform for the fleet of 10 race-prepared Mazda 3 vehicles.
The addition of the Mazda 3s' to the race school fleet is set to add extra "Zoom-Zoom" to the initial stage of the course, where drivers learn the skills and techniques necessary to drive one of the school's single seat racers.

Hey lads, looks like we might have an extra bit of influence if we ever look to do something in Mondello!!

John :)

Hi lads my first post.
I actually work in the school as an instructor. We got the Mazda's there at the start of Feb, we are very pleased with them. They handle very well, they have a great front end and understeer very little for a front wheel drive car.
Did your friend enjoy his day in the school? Good and all as the mazdas are I cant imagine them being more fun than the Formula Sheanes! Those cars are pretty quick, they lap faster than pretty much any road car!
